Ryan Custom Homes was honored on Friday, October 30th with a Texas Star Award for Best Interior Merchandising of a Custom Home under $1 million. The award was given for the builder’s Provence home in Carlton Woods. This 4885 square foot home is filled with luxury features and sits on a three-quarter acre, wooded home site.

Some of the home’s impressive features include:

  • Stunning travertine and hand-scraped dark wood flooring throughout the first floor
  • An impressive living room with 14 foot ceilings and grand windows open to the forested back
  • A fifth bedroom downstairs in private wing for aging parent or nanny/housekeeper
  • A huge game room with plenty of space for two gaming tables and media area
  • A spectacular covered veranda with view of natural forested yard
  • Dramatic entry/gallery and study areas with interior wrought-iron doors, unique faux painting, groined ceilings and  niches
  • Unique interior lighting fixtures designed to complement the old-word style
  • Exterior lighting installed in the soffits to provide dramatic evening curb appeal

The home’s spectacular window coverings and master suite bedding were designed by Woodlands Fabrics and Interiors. Todd Rice of Rice Residential Design created the home plan.

“This home was designed to take full advantage of this wooded and private home site,” according to company president David Perry. “Every interior detail reflects the home owners wishes and the home is both beautiful and very functional.”
